| *UPDATE* Another web gem from The Somniloquy Institute: THE DREAM EXPLANATORIUM! *UPDATE* |
| Somniloquy: sleep talking |
|
Progressive supranuclear palsy and pre-clinical REM sleep behavior disorder presenting as inhibition of speech during wakefulness and somniloquy with phasic muscle twitching during REM sleep. It is known that a pre-clinical stage may precede the full-fledged form of REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD) and that somniloquy, yelling and limb jerking may be prodromes of RBD. In the present paper, the case of a woman exhibiting both somniloquy and daytime inhibition of speech is discussed. Clinical and polysomnographic findings were consistent with the dual diagnosis of progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) and preclinical RBD. Severe akinesia and supranuclear palsy of phonation are postulated as likely mechanisms for the inhibition of speech, whereas the overexcitation of the motor system by the RBD process seemed to account for the sleeptalking episodes. |

"There no weaknesses in The Somniloquy Institute. None! In a way, this an unfortunate position to be in. On one hand, it free to continue experimenting with their interventions and interferences. But it dangerous! It dangerous when some powers cannot keep under control anymore. No clash with TSI!" The New Herald, January 26, 1998 |

A very nice site, excellent design, clever original graphics, and your content is informative, entertaining, presented well and easy to access.
