[useful chat room Q & A's]

Our experience with chat rooms is that it is hard, if not impossible, to find an interesting or entertaining conversation anywhere. And when you do find a person willing to chat with you it is hard to keep the conversation going because everybody is rambling on at the same time. However, The Somniloquy Institute assembled a number of questions for you to ask, in order to obtain the best conversational results quickly:

Life is full of uncertainties, isn't it?

To sleep, perchance to dream. What does that mean to you?

You're not certain, are you?

Have you always had trouble relaxing?

What about yourself, ...[name]...?

Have you asked this type of question before?

Do you enjoy ...[action]...?

Does that trouble you?

What other things do you wish for?

Would it surprise you to learn that I ...[action]... too?

Do you feel threatened by ...[noun]...?

What else comes to mind when you ask that?

Do you make friends easily?

Perhaps some of your friends worry you?

Why don't you ask someone else?

You do have occasional mood swings, don't you?

Do you often have these contradictory feelings?

Do you have many disturbing nightmares?

Does your mind sometimes wander when you are awake?

Are you fascinated by that question?

It seems that most 'chatters' are rather reluctant to reveal their true nature, and this causes the conversation to halt abruptly after the 'stats' (gender, age and appearances) and 'prefs' (the things you like) have been exchanged. In order to get to know your chat partner better, or to just say something when your mind is a blank, here are some useful answers and remarks:

All right, but first tell me more about yourself.

Let's try a slightly different approach.

Describe your idea of true happiness.

You seem to be full of optimism.

It is sometimes wise to temper our emotions.

Please go on.

A discussion of your problems may be revealing.

You seem to be a rather pensive individual.

Tell me what answer would please you the most.

Let's discuss your sleeping problems.

No one really knows.

I think you could be a little more open if you tried.

This often reflects subconscious desires.

I have great confidence in you.

I doubt you have always felt that way.

Try to concentrate on the things you can do.

Apparently, you have trouble dealing with authority figures.

I sense that you have many deep seated needs.

I think you could be a little more open if you tried.

I suspect you know the answer.
